She was the recipient of the 2007 People’s Voice Webby Award for world's best charitable website for the UN Foundation's NothingButNets.net which has raised over $26M to send anti-malaria bed nets to Africa. In the past, Shannon ran online operations for ONE.org, was a part of the Internet Team for the Kerry-Edwards 2004 Presidential Campaign and has worked on a wide array of social justice issues.
