Betsy Hoover
Digital Organizing Director, Obama for America
Betsy Hoover started out her career as a passionate Community Organizer in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2006, she moved from Cincinnati to Washington, DC to work with Sojourners/Call to Renewal as a development associate, focused on online fundraising. In 2007, Betsy moved to South Carolina where she was a field organizer for the Obama Campaign. By the end of the 2008 cycle, she was in field leadership in Michigan. She then moved back to DC to work as a regional director for Organizing for America. It was there that she started working towards the vision that online organizing and offline organizing could both be much more effective if they worked more closely together. She is now the Director of Online Organizing for the Obama campaign. She oversees the team that focuses on supporter and volunteer engagement online.
