Prior to joining New America, Patrick worked as an analyst for CTC Technology & Energy, an engineering and consulting firm that advises local governments and public sector clients on broadband infrastructure issues. He also has worked in Congress as a staffer for U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Patrick holds a bachelor's degree in art history from Colgate University and a master's degree in public policy from American University. While a graduate student at American he completed research fellowships at Free Press and the Federal Communications Commission. en
